Synopsis
The Documentary "Baobab, return to the origin" was born out of the need to remember and reconstruct the Afro-descendant identity from an Afro-centred and pan-Africanist perspective. Through the observation of an Afro-Argentine film student, we are transported to black Africa.
Touring Senegalese landscapes; collecting historical data on the slave trade; discovering the essence of African sounds to connect that experience with interviews carried out in Argentina to African migrants, the Afro-Latin American diaspora and Afro-Argentines. Seeking to know their stories and demystify various myths. A search for the expansion of awareness and recovery of the untold story.
