Synopsis
1645. Wars between Amerindians and French rage in Guadeloupe. Ibátali, a young woman indigenous Kalinago, meets Olaudah, a brown fugitive Yoruba. She starts a long way from alienation to colonial society to emancipation. But is it willing to pay the heavy price of the freedom?
